Kirra's Little Dreams dance recital began at the same time as Jaret's last game, which meant that I wasn't able to go and watch. Terry and Jaret were able to get to the very last part of the recital though which worked perfect for a couple of reasons. One being the fact that the dance recital was three hours long and I don't think Jaret would have enjoyed sitting that long through so much dance (or Terry for that matter). And second, Kirra's Dancenastics class was close to the end of the program so it meant that Terry and Jaret made it in time to see her dance. I was so proud of her. She had been practicing her hitchy koo step step all year and just wasn't getting it. She was determined and practiced lots, even yesterday and again today, and finally it clicked. She got it! She was so happy that she learned it, just in time for the recital.
Kirra with her friend, Ella:
We are grateful that in the hectic day, we got to enjoy brunch as a family together and then ended the day with bbq'd steak for supper, before Terry left for a few days in Edmonton. And of course, what would Father's Day be without some handmade crafts. The kids were able to give him some of the crafts they had made to mark this special day. We love you, Daddy and are so grateful that you are our Dad! You are the BEST Dad EVER! Happy Father's Day!
