I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings.

Christmas Cheer
I love, love, love this time of year! It is so wonderful to spend time with family and friends and to focus on such special moments with the kids. Kirra and I spent an afternoon last week making gingersnaps; it is so cute when she wants to be my little helper. We really should get some matching aprons as I am sure she would be over the moon with that. We took the kids for a twinkle tour on the weekend. There is a house on Clinkskill Cres in Saskatoon that is quite impressive. The couple that lives there even has a website and spends all year preparing for their light show that is even set to music. The kids were in awe which always makes it so worth it. We also went to the Enchanted Forest (aka Forestry Farm Christmas lights). By the end of the tour the kids were sleepy and fell asleep in no time. Sunday we also spent some time decorating gingerbread houses with my friend Kelli and her girls, Tamara and Nolan, along with a few others. It was so much fun and the kids loved being a part of this special afternoon. I loved watching how my two kiddos worked on the gingerbread house together; it warmed my heart. Also on the weekend, Terry and I attended his staff party at Truffles for supper Friday evening. It was a nice evening out and we had a new babysitter. Alexa did a wonderful job babysitting. Our kids have already been asking when she can babysit again. She even made sock snowmen with them that they slept with that night. I thought it was so cute.
Today Jaret had his Christmas Concert at school. They had an afternoon and evening performance. I was volunteering with serving cider and cookies at both performances. However, the afternoon was quieter so I was able to watch most of Jaret's concert. They started with the choir singing some different songs and then after the Kindergarten and Grade One classes performed, the Grade Two-Four classes were merged and each group performed. They had puppet shows, dance, a skit, and Jaret was part of the black light show. I love how they were able to use their giftings. I enjoyed helping with the refreshments as it was an opportunity to be involved and connect with families.
Hope you are enjoying this Christmas season and taking advantage of the special moments and memories. Kirra keeps going around the house and reminding us, "Jesus is what Christmas is all about and Christmas is all about Jesus!" Indeed, Kirra, indeed!
