I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Mountains
We love spending time out in the mountains. However, despite living so close to the Rockies, we didn't get out west all summer. So, on Sunday we decided it was finally time to take a day trip. So thankful that we did as it was a glorious day and we enjoyed being surrounded by God's beauty.
We shopped a few stores in Banff town site and then had lunch. After lunch we stopped at Bow Falls and walked up the little path along the falls. We always enjoy this spot and listening to the rushing water as we stare in awe at the surroundings around us.
We then decided to drive to Lake Minnewanka to walk by the lake. However, those plans changed after a little accident that Kirra had. She was walking on the bridge as we were leaving the dock and she fell after getting scared by some dogs near us. It wouldn't normally be a big deal except that the bridge was a metal grate that really did a number on her knee. However, she was pretty brave. I think the first aid and then the freezie treat from the park worker helped.
I can't wait until the next time we can go back to the mountains!!
