Oh The Lazy Days of Summer

Love, Love, Love Summer! It is hard to believe that it has gone by so quickly! We have thoroughly enjoyed our summer. Most times I am big on 'To Do' lists but this summer I haven't made a single list and have just stopped to relax and enjoy time with the kids. So many days were just spent hanging in the backyard with the kids. Playdates with kids in the neighbourhood and other friends who we don't see as often anymore. Jaret enjoyed having a playdate with Carter one afternoon. Carter is a friend of his from pre-school. Always nice to have them get together to catch up.
Water is always a favourite for Jaret and his friends. Whether it is a water fight, the paddling pool, sprinkler, or the Slip 'N Slide. Some days Jaret has spent all day outside in his swimsuit. He was very excited about Kira and Ethan's (neighbourhood kids) new Slip N' Slide. They spent a whole afternoon just running around, sliding, and laughing! Music to my ears.
We rented a bouncer for a couple of days. That was a huge hit and we had lots of kids here able to enjoy it as well. Despite one of the days being really cool, the kids loved bouncing away and didn't even seem to be affected by the cold. One evening, the Tysdal's came over for a games night. The kids bounced on the bouncer while the adults sat around wrapped in blankets.
It is hard to see summer coming to a close but we are so grateful for such a wonderful summer ~ full of memories...
