I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Children's Hospital
A little accident at school today, resulted in a trip to the Children's Hospital for Jaret. Jaret and a little girl, Amy, bumped heads. The little girl was fine but the rim of Jaret's glasses cut him just above the eye. The glasses didn't break but left a little gash just under the eyebrow. Jaret's teacher, Mrs. Werth, called me in my classroom to come down and see him. I was already finished teaching for the day and was so thankful to be so close to go and see what the situation was. Jaret was crying over the incident but was so brave. We walked to the front office to see Joel Melashenko who with his first aid training, taped Jaret's eye to close up the deep cut. Jaret and I then went to the Children's Hospital with Terry meeting us there. All the way to the hospital, Jaret kept saying, "I am glad my teacher and my class are praying for me." Once at the hospital, Jaret was seen fairly quickly as it was quiet, being a Wednesday afternoon with kids in school. When we got to the hospital, they put some numbing lotion on the cut. As we waited for the lotion to take affect, Jaret played a Cars video game in the waiting room. The doctor called us in to look at things and decided that gluing the cut shut would have better results than stitches. Jaret was so courageous as the cut was cleaned a few times, and the glue applied three times. The best part was getting a popsicle after and then going for lunch to Earl's. Jaret also felt pretty special though when he got an e-card from his teacher letting him know that she was thinking of him and praying for him.
