Kirra has been a little more cuddly lately. She will run up to me, want up to give a hug, complete with a couple of pats on the back and then want down, just to run right back and want the same attention. She isn't one for giving kisses but I give them to her any chance I have. She also loves to be held upside down. Then when you go to turn her right side up, she will arch her back again to be upside down.
Kirra absolutely adores her big brother and just wants to be where he is and follows him around everywhere. Jaret is pretty good with allowing her to do that and taking in the attention from her. They like to chase each other and wrestle with one another. Jaret will tickle her neck, although it looks more like he is about to strangle her. Kirra loves this though and giggles and giggles some more. Then they will hug each other while rolling around on the floor. These are moments to cherish. And probably the kind of sibling love I will have to remind them of in years to come.
Jaret is such a thinker. He is curious and always coming up with questions and then he'll say, "That was a good question, hey?" Or when he gives an answer to his own question he'll respond, "That was a good answer, wasn't it?" The other day his question was about how old God was. Then he thought to find a better answer than the one I had given him, that we should type the question into the computer to find the right answer. The next day, out of the blue, he said, "Mom, God must make a lot of money for being God." Too cute.
Jaret is caring and sensitive and is very aware of how to encourage. Today after taking him to the zoo for a playdate, he gave me hugs and kisses and thanked me. Then I said, "Can I hear three little words?" To which he responded, "What three words?" I them prompted him by saying, "I..." He of course finished it off and said the words that melt my heart each time I hear them from his lips, "I love you, Mommy!" But then he said, "Another three words are, you are beautiful!" Yes, he definitely knows how to speak my love language and melts my heart with his words and affection.
