It was at 2:21pm, one year ago, that Kirra entered the world weighing 7 lbs 4.7 oz and 21 inches in length. Since then life has been more fulfilling in our home. I can't even explain the feeling of being a Mom to two wonderful children - I feel so very blessed each day. Being a Mom is the best and most rewarding job there is.
Kirra's year has been full. We have gone from many sleepless nights in the beginning to nights that she goes down before 7pm and wakes just after 7am. We have seen countless beautiful smiles and heard lots of laughter and giggles. We have had tears and heard crying from time to time but that can be comforted from a cuddle from Mom or Dad. We love when she lifts her arms when she wants up or when she is tired and snuggles her head into our neck. She has gone from barely being able to sit to bum scootching to taking her first steps. She is quite the talker, "Dadada, Mamama, Bababa." It is music hearing her coo and talk in her own little language. Speaking of music, she loves music and will bounce (dance) or clap her hands whenever she hears music. And today for the first time, she began crawling up the stairs and got to the fourth step before I realized where she had gotten to.
Life is so good and rewarding as we watch Kirra grow and reach each milestone. We especially love watching her and Jaret interact and play. Jaret is such a wonderful big brother and so caring and helpful with his little sister. What a blessing it is to be parents to our two special children.

I love her smile...Jaret looks like he is enjoying the moment as well. Our first tiny glimpse of your new home.
Jaret really did enjoy celebrating Kirra's birthday. He loved the cupcakes and seeing Kirra eat her first cupcake. He also liked "helping" Kirra open her presents.
