His first night of soccer was on Monday night (sorry Mom, we didn't get any pictures). However, we will over the course of the season. It was a cold night but Jaret was dressed warm and was so excited about being a soccer player. He was adorable to watch as he ran every which way kicking the ball. He did pretty good at not using his hands. At this age they will play more games to teach some skill with the ball than actually play a soccer game. It will be lots of fun. I love the look on Jaret's face when he is having so much fun! He just kept running around and laughing as he kicked the ball and then would fall down (on purpose) and then laugh some more as he got up and kept running. It will be a great season of soccer!
This is our last day as a family of three. It is hard to believe that tomorrow we will welcome our little girl into the world and be a family of four. We are all very excited! But I am also quite nervous, even though I have been through this before. It is different being the second time around and knowing more what to expect and also knowing the day and approximate time of our little girl's birth. Today Jaret and I met Shea and McKinley at Cardel for the drop-in gym time. Jaret always has fun there and wears off lots of energy on the bouncy house they have set up, complete with a slide. Then we went for lunch to Cora's. It is a relatively new place in Northland Mall and it was awesome. We really enjoyed our lunch there. Then Jaret had a nap this afternoon as I chatted on the phone with some of my fabulous friends. With tomorrow being the big day, Jaret is excited to go to Auntie Shea's and then is looking forward to meeting his baby sister later on in the day. My next post will not come until the weekend as I expect they will keep me in until Saturday morning. We feel so blessed that all has gone well in this pregnancy and our little one has grown healthy and strong. I have a feeling she may not be as cuddly as Jaret - she is constantly moving around within me - a fiesty, little girl already. I have enjoyed the feeling though and feel blessed by this miracle of life within me. Terry and I have both felt so blessed by having Jaret as our son and the joy he brings us each and every day and look forward to the blessing of having a daughter to complete our family. God has been so good to us!
