Quick Edmonton Trip

We made a trip quick to Edmonton on Saturday. Our main purpose was to visit the Centrex showhomes there that are similar to the layout of the house we are building. Centrex Calgary hasn't yet built this design so they had no homes here for us to view. The houses in Edmonton were a little different, but we expected that, especially with the changes we have made in the design. I think that we will be very happy with our home. This next week will be really busy as we are trying to fit in as many appts. for choosing everything from cabinets to flooring to colours for our house. The process is well underway and is going well thus far.
Aside from looking at houses, we decided to stop at West Edmonton Mall's GalaxyLand so Jaret had something fun for him in the day. He enjoyed the rides, the train of course being his favourite. From there we met Pam, Terry and the kids for supper. It was a quick and tiring trip.
I am offically on maternity leave. My last day of work was Friday. I felt truly blessed by the staff and students as my office door was covered with words of encouragement. It brought tears to my eyes. I will miss the school but am really enjoying my time off and the time that is to come. And as much as Jaret loves Nighat and Fatima, he has enjoyed being home with mom too, rather than having to go to the dayhome each day. We have enjoyed just playing and having friends over for playdates. We are thankful to Nighat and Fatima though for the years of care they gave Jaret. He will miss them. We appreciate the love they showed him and how they seemed to treat him as one of the family. Thank you to both of you!
