What's new here? I finally got my table! I had my eye on this table for years at Modern Country Interiors. We placed an order at the end of January (custom made table), while they had a sale, and my table is now sitting in our kitchen nook. It looks perfect! I told Terry that I even enjoy just sitting longer for supper and that the food tastes so much better - lol.
Terry sold his VW Golf a couple of weeks ago. He sold it on Kijiji and when it came time to let it go, he had some mixed emotions. It was difficult going for almost two weeks with only one vehicle, but we survived. Terry bought a 2005 Acura TSX from a really nice couple from Calgary - a private sale through Kijiji. We just got it yesterday and he is loving the new car and how it handles and drives.
Jaret is doing well. He had a brief touch of the flu this past week but thankfully it was short lived and he is back to himself. One of the pictures below shows him trying to find a cozy place to nap - in our bedroom in the chest that holds our blankets. He likes going in there sometimes to hide and as you can tell, it is a perfect fit. He is becoming more independent all the time. He likes helping pick out his clothes more often and likes to try dressing himself. I have included a couple of pictures of him getting dressed one morning. He is excited that we have registered him for outdoor soccer and is just waiting for it to start. However, it will not begin until the end of April - hopefully we will have some warmer weather by then. I was a little surprised though that soccer will be twice a week. I figured that since he is only 3, that it would be once a week. It will be interesting to see how it goes. Another sign of him growing up is that I have registered him at our church for pre-school. He will be in a 3/4 year old class every Tuesday and Friday afternoon. The classes book up quickly and the Tuesday/Thursday morning class was full before it was opened up to new families. But we're on a waiting list and one never knows, maybe he will still get into that class yet.
My belly is ever expanding. This little girl is active, especially at night which has me a little worried. It is so cute watching Jaret come and put his hand on my belly to feel his little sister kick. He knows exactly where to put his hand each time to feel her move. He thinks my belly is pretty cute and calls it my little basketball. One afternoon he even put his teddy bear under his shirt and told me he had a baby in his tummy too. I wish the camera had been closer at hand. I will try to get a picture of this yet. Then one day while I was making supper, our little girl was really moving around. I must have made a comment that she was pushing because the next thing I know, Jaret brings his chair over, stands on it, puts his hand on my belly and was trying to push baby sister back in as he says, "Baby sister, don't push on mommy's tummy. It's not time for you to come out yet." Terry actually wished that he had the camera close at hand to try to capture the moment on video - priceless.
So, all is well here. We are looking forward to spring and hope that it is on it's way soon. It was a beautiful, sunny morning. Jaret and I went to Joso's indoor playground but by the time we came out the wind had picked up and now it is overcast. The weatherman is predicting snow - but it's the first day of spring!
