I have included a picture of Jaret having his video night on the couch from last Friday - complete with his "friend" and popcorn that he helped make. He loves to be in the kitchen any chance possible. He even told Auntie Shea and Uncle Mark on Sunday morning that he is going to be a chef - this after helping make the waffles for our Sunday Brunch. Too cute!
One week of spring break is almost over and I am still wondering what happened to all the time I was supposed to have. It has been great to be off and home with Jaret. We have been busy each day with playdates and doing some shopping. Monday was mainly just shopping and errands and made for a long day. Tuesday we met Auntie Shea and McKinley at Market Mall and had some time to play in the play area together. Wednesday we went to a moms and tots playgroup in Kincora and Jaret enjoyed playing with McKinley and meeting some of the other kids. Thursday morning we met Sophie and her mom, Natalie (neighbours) at Joso's for a playdate. From there we ventured down to E-Children and Chinook for a little more shopping. Jaret has been a great helper, even picking out some of the blankets and clothes he thinks we should buy for his Baby Sister. Today has been quieter around here. We had Hudson and Elle over with their mom Carrie this morning for a playdate. Jaret really enjoyed it and was completely zonked out afterwards. He is just napping right now, on the floor where he insisted of sleeping with his stuffies, rather than on the bed.
Still one week of spring break left and I am so looking forward to more time off and time to get ready for this little one coming our way. There is still a little shopping to do. My mom and Grandma Martha arrive tomorrow and will be here until Wednesday. Unfortunately they are here to attend a funeral of a very dear family friend who passed away from a battle with cancer. It will be nice to see them, despite the unfortnate circumstances.
I am hoping that this next week of spring break will actually feel like spring break. The weather we have been having so far has made it feel more like it is mid-winter break. Just when is spring going to get here?
