Trick-or-Treat

Being a bit older, Jaret understands the idea of trick-or-treating. When Jaret and I got home on Friday, we got the treats ready for the kids who would come to our house trick-or-treating. Then we practiced how to trick-or-treat, using our manners and giving our best smile as we said thank you. When Terry got home he was excited to get going. So, Jaret got all dressed into his skunk costume and off they went to trick-or-treat at a few of the houses in our neighbourhood. He was such a cute 'Lil Stinker! After a little trick-or-treating, and posing with our neighbour Sophie, it was off to our church for the big Family Halloween Party. And what a party it was! It was huge, with lots of games for the kids, along with treats given out at every station. There were lots of bouncy houses for kids of every age. It was spectacular and Jaret had so much fun that it was hard to pull him away.
Saturday we slept in. Then Jaret and I went to Market Mall to do a little shopping and to play in the Kids Play Area - one of his favourite places. We came home for a late afternoon nap, and just in time for Mommy and Daddy to sit down to the Lions and Stamps game. After I had a short nap myself, we went to Saturday Night church. We rather enjoy that as it is a smaller crowd and allows us the luxury of another sleep in on the weekend. Which is exactly what we did. And we got an extra hour as we turned our clocks back this weekend as well. Jaret and I slept in and then had a lazy morning, he watched Barney while I read on the couch all cuddled in a blanket together. Then it was time to get ready for the fun filled afternoon of Thomas the Train Live on Stage. Jaret really enjoyed himself. So much so that he cried when we left because he wanted to see more Thomas - that and he was overtired since he hadn't napped. And, that was our weekend!
