Yesterday we went to buy Jaret his first bike which he was really excited about. However, we had to go to two locations of Sport Chek to find the bike we were looking for. By the time we got to the second Sport Chek, the novelty had worn off a bit and he was more interested in playing basketball in the store than riding the bike. He does love his new bike though. But he calls it his "motorcycle" - I guess he wants to be like Grandpa. Yesterday afternoon, we had company. A guy (Kurt) that Terry works with came over for lunch and board games with his wife (Maddy) and 1 year old boy, Liam. Jaret enjoyed sharing his toys and crawling around the floor with Liam. We then enjoyed supper over Dustin and Rachelle's and visited with them and Aunt Linda and Uncle Wade.
Today Jaret and I were up early to go to Wal-Mart as I had a few last minute things to get for Jaret's Easter Basket and Easter Egg Hunt. He's already talking about how fun that will be. Then we picked Terry up and went and enjoyed a bite to eat at Tim Horton's, one of Jaret's favourite places to go. After Jaret's nap, we coloured some Easter Eggs. Jaret really enjoyed seeing the eggs turn from white to whatever colour cup they were in. He helped pick out the NHL stickers to put on the eggs. He is excited to eat them tomorrow but I'm not sure he will care for them as he has never wanted to eat hard-boiled eggs before. Maybe it will be different knowing he helped decorate them.
Tonight Terry and I are going to the Flames game. Jaret is looking forward to Josh coming to babysit. He loves when we get babysitters. This morning in the car he said, "I like Josh, Mommy."
Well, that's our weekend so far. We will add more after the weekend is over. We have lots of fun planned for tomorrow, including supper at Mark and Shea's. Jaret says, "That will be fun, hey Mommy? I like that. It will be a fun day!"
