February

February is here and things seem pretty 'everyday' around our house. Terry is busy with his last course. He is just wrapping up an assignment that is due Wednesday and as a result is extremely busy. Just a month until he writes his final! I have been very busy with work but enjoying it even despite the challenges everyday. Jaret is doing well, despite a few little tantrums he is beginning to throw, like the one tonight when he tests to see if he will win the battle. However, we are very blessed and it doesn't seem that these tantrums happen too regularly - yet, right?! I am sure that's what some of you are thinking, that this is just the beginning, and I understand that could very well be true. But overall things are going really well.

Jaret enjoys sitting on the potty and peeing regularly. We are offering incentives of mini eggs when he does go, since my mom reminded me an incentive like this was okay. I think her exact words were, "Jenn, do you think that he'll still need chocolate chips (which we were using at the time) when he is away at university and needs to use the bathroom?" Yeah, okay, point taken. When he needs to go he'll say, "Eggs Mommy?" and then take my hand and we'll go up to the potty. If I was able to stay home for a number of days and focus on potty training, I am sure he would be trained.

He is enjoying the dayhome and playing with the other kids there. His new thing lately is, "Mommy, tell Auntie Shea..." whatever it is. This all started with a sign going up announcing that Starbuck's is coming soon. I read the sign one day as we drove past and said that we should tell Auntie Shea and how we would have to meet Auntie Shea and McKinley down there for coffee. The next time he saw Shea he said, "Auntie Shea, Starbuck's coming soon." Then after kids church the other day, I was asking him if he had fun and his response was, "I had fun, tell Auntie Shea I had fun." He is such a little copycat.

Jaret is getting good at counting and likes to count, but always says, "No, Mommy. No, counting." when I try to get him to count for others. I have been able to get a little video of him recently, including one of him counting and I hope that I will be able to figure out how to download it to our mac so I can post some video.

I am including some pictures to this post - bath time, playing t-ball, spending time with Tad and George, and eating his favourite meal (chicken strips and fries - lol!).

Well, I really do have work to get accomplished yet tonight, and Prison Break is about to start - I might have to work while watching Prison Break. We'll see how much I get accomplished.

Hope you are all well. Keep in touch.
