I love long weekends. I think it would be great if every weekend could be a long weekend. Who wouldn't love that? Our weekend began with supper at Mark and Shea's on Friday night. It was nice to have some time for Jaret and McKinley to play together. They entertain each other quite well. Once we got both of them into bed though, it was time to play Ticket to Ride. I was so close to winning. At one point Shea and I thought that Terry forgot to deduct points from his one unfinished railway, which would of put me in the lead. However, he promises that he already took that into account and that he did indeed deduct the points - okay - whatever you say... Just kidding, Terry did win fair and square, which was a letdown for me, seeing as I only came in second.
Saturday I got to sleep in while Terry took Jaret to Tim Horton's. It was nice to have the opportunity to sleep in since I felt a bit of a sore throat coming on and really needed the sleep. That evening we went to the University to watch the Women's Huskies defeat the Dino's in basketball - it was a really close game and even went into overtime. Jaret really enjoyed watching the game, eating popcorn, and cheering (taught by mom, of course).
Sunday we went looking at showhomes in Evanston and put a hold on a walkout lot. It's pretty exciting as there are no other lots in this phase. We have some time now to figure out what exactly we would like to put on the lot - maybe a tent - lol. Oh, that might not meet specifications. We are excited and hope that this opportunity works out. Sunday evening we had Josh from up the street babysit Jaret and we went out for supper with Mark and Shea. We went to the muse in Kensington. It was pretty fancy. We had a great evening - full of laughter - as is usually the case when Mark and Terry are around to entertain.
Monday we did some cleaning around the house. The weather was beautiful and I think it got us in spring cleaning mode as Terry even did the dusting and he was really thorough. It was nice to have his help as he got into spots that I often can't with my height constraint. After some cleaning we took Jaret swimming. He love the water and spending time at the pool.
It was a wonderful weekend but I think we are rested and ready for the week ahead.
