Learning the ABC's

I didn't get a chance to write on the weekend. The weekend went by too quickly, especially since I had to work on Saturday at an Open House for the school. It was an enjoyable weekend though and we got out to more basketball games. This time it was the Men's Dinos beating the Alberta Bears. It was a great game - very action packed. Mark, Shea, and McKinley joined us. Jaret liked having his buddy there. Since the Dino's won, they will be hosting the "Final Four" here on the weekend so we plan to take in more basketball. I keep asking Terry what he'll do if Jaret's favourite sport becomes basketball. His response was simply that it won't, even if I have to take him to Seattle for a month or two to watch baseball. Yeah, I wonder who would want that more - Jaret or Terry? We also went to church on Sunday. Jaret seemed reserved about going to Extreme Kids (Sunday School) but when we dropped him off, he crawled right through the special little entrance they have for the kids and was quite content to be left. And when we picked him up, he seemed like he wanted to stay. We are so happy that he has adjusted so well. The church really offers an amazing Children's Program.
Tonight Jaret and I were driving home and I was talking to myself, saying that I needed to bring a cd in. As soon as I said it, Jaret starting reciting his ABC's. He did much better in the car with no pressure compared to when I later tried to video him. But, he is just learning and it is pretty cute. And just to let you know, no kids were hurt in the taping of this video (at the end, Jaret just laughed as he slid off the couch face first, he didn't hurt himself). Enjoy the videos!
