December Already

It is hard to believe that December is here. I haven't had a chance the last couple of weeks to even update the blog - sorry about that. However, with report cards now behind me, I will hopefully not be as busy with school stuff leading up to Christmas.
Where to start - The Riders! We enjoyed watching the Riders win the Grey Cup last weekend. We spent the afternoon over at Jay and Brandee's. It wasn't much of a game, but Jaret sure entertained everyone with his dancing and cheering.
Then came my birthday. I was treated to flowers and a gift certificate from my students, which made me feel very spoiled. I also was spolied by my parents who bought me so clothes from Vegas. Terry wasn't allowed to get me anything because I had bought myself a full length mirror a few weeks before, so I bought my own gift. It was nice to spend a quiet evening with Terry and Jaret. Terry had picked up Chinese on the way home, so that was nice.
Terry has been extremely busy studying for his Financial Accounting Final that he writes tomorrow night. He is looking forward to being finished that course and then just having one class left after that. However, he doesn't get much of a break as his new class begins with a seminar the weekend of the 15th. Poor guy!
Jaret is doing well. He is talking so much and stringing sentences together. One night this past week I was up in the middle of the night with an earache. As I went down to the kitchen to get some tylenol, Jaret heard me and woke up. As I came upstairs, I heard him saying, "Mommy, play with me, Mommy?" I couldn't resist, so I went in and he said, "Mommy, blanket, shoulder, blanket." It is not too often that Terry and I say no to that. We love when we put the blanket on our shoulder, pick him up, and feel him cuddle into us. It is a great feeling.
It has been a lay-low kind of weekend around here. I have been suffering with a cold and with the weather as cold as it is, didn't venture out at all. It was nice just hanging out at home with Jaret. We watched some Barney (way too much Barney), read lots of books, did some puzzles, and played. When Jaret slept, I took advantage of it and slept too. On Friday night, we had McKinley here while Mark and Shea went out for supper. So, that has been all that's going on around here.
Attaching some pics of Jaret and McKinley. We were reading Mary's Happy Christmas Day. It was so cute, Jaret was pointing out Baby Jesus to McKinley in the story. Also some pics of Jaret and our Christmas tree. He is good with not touching it and telling us when we should turn the Christmas lights on. It is adorable.
That's all for tonight, time to get to bed. Have a wonderful week!
~Jenn
