Friday night was a quiet night and I went to bed early because I felt a cold coming on and wanted to ward it off the best I could - and it worked! Saturday was spent around the house and then we went to Mark and Shea's for supper. It is so fun watching how Jaret and McKinley keep each other occupied by playing. McKinley sits in the excersaucer and plays and Jaret plays around him. Supper was awesome. We had something called raclette. It's where you cook all your meats and veggies on a grill in the middle of the table, then you take the portion you want and put it in a little dish that sits under the grill. Before putting it under the grill, you put the cheese on top. Once the cheese has melted, you eat it on a piece of French loaf. After the kids were down, we played poker. I unfortunately was the first one out - but went for quite a while, so I was proud of that. But was really proud that Shea won. She had said ahead of time how much she was looking forward to playing poker so we could beat the guys!
Sunday I finally got around to all the laundry and housecleaning that I had been putting off. It felt great to get it done and to enjoy a spotless clean house, but working full-time and trying to clean like I use to just doesn't work so well anymore. We then had Mark and Shea over to watch the Rider playoff game. It was great that the Riders won. Although, if they think they can win the Grey Cup by having just one touchdown and a bunch of field goals... Let's hope they do better next week against B.C.
Monday, Jaret and I met Shea and McKinley at Chinook Mall. Shea and I wanted to check out the Christmas stuff at Pottery Barn. And of course, Jaret got to ride the Merry-Go-Round, so he was happy about a trip to the mall too.
I wish every weekend could be a long weekend!
