Happy Birthday Jaret! Mommy and Daddy love you very much!
I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Second Birthday Party
We had a great time at Jaret's second birthday party. He had some of his friends join him for his Bob the Builder theme party. It was helpful that Jaret went down for a nap late Saturday morning, allowing Terry and I to get things ready. Then he woke up just before 1:00 p.m. in time to greet his friends. It was fun seeing the look on his face when we brought him down to see the house decorated with balloons, presents, and unveiling his birthday cake. We were so happy that Lucas, Joseph, Jennie, Hudson, Myah, and McKinley helped celebrate his birthday. Jaret loved wearing his party hat - so much so that he didn't take it off until bedtime! Jaret had fun playing with his friends, colouring, opening presents (he thanked everyone after opening their gift by going and giving them a big hug), and eating birthday cake. He loved the big truck cake that he had picked out. Jaret was thrilled when Myah arrived. In fact, all the boys ran to the door when she came. Then when she left, Jaret gave her a little gift and a big hug. They kissed each other and then laughed - I do believe there was one candle left burning on the cake after Daddy blew out the candles - maybe Myah is Jaret's first girlfriend! I did tell both Jaret and Myah that they can kiss now and it's cute, but once they hit three, they aren't allowed to kiss again until they are 25. Myah's parents agreed. It was a wonderful birthday celebration! But, it is so hard seeing my little boy turn into a boy. I can't believe he is almost two years old. The past two years have already gone by so quickly. But, we cherish each moment.
