Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! Today was a nice relaxing day. I was able to sleep in this morning and then enjoyed breakfast in bed. I was also spoiled with a gift certificate to KidsPhoto - Terry knows me so well! We spent the day together as a family, not doing much of anything, but just spending time together. It was wonderful!

Mother's Day is so special and meaningful and I feel so blessed to be a Mom. I pray regularly for guidance in being a good mother and that I will bring Jaret up right. I pray for him and who he is now and for the person he will one day become. Below is a little poem that I wrote about being Jaret's mom:

With the start of each new day

I find myself thinking of you...

In the middle of my busy day,

my mind wanders and I think of you...

I think of that cute little smile of yours,

How you wrinkle up your nose when you laugh your little giggle,

How you depend on Mommy and Daddy and yet want so much to be your own independent little person,

How you are fascinated by the world God created,

How you find excitement in the little things of life,

I think of the baby you were, the toddler you are, and the person you will become...

Life is more beautiful now because I am a Mom - your Mom.
