Summer has meant spending time with family and friends. On July long weekend, I saw my family briefly in Medicine Hat as we celebrated Auntie Lee and George's wedding.
The kids and I then traveled to Regina, after our Seattle road trip. We made a stop in Medicine Hat to have lunch with Auntie Lee and George. The kids were excited to see them and Mighty too.
With the weather being so hot and dry this summer, the kids loved spending time in Grandma's pool. If you didn't see them in the pool, they were cooling off inside and taking a break from the sun. While in Regina we were able to see the newest Minion movie and the kids quite enjoyed it. The time in Regina seemed to go by quickly as we were only there for a handful of days.
This is my Grandma Mary's first selfie likely and also her first time at Menchie's. After having lunch with my mom, Grandma arrived for an appt in Regina. We had some time before dropping her off. It was a short visit but nice to see her.
That same afternoon, Terry arrived and joined the kids to cool off in the pool!
We spent time with Racquel and even got to meet a guy she has been dating.
These two seem to look like they are up to something...
We also were able to spend some time with Lisa and Justine.
Then we traveled on to Saskatoon...but it was a very short trip (less than 48 hours this time). And our time there was packed full.

Uncle Walter & Auntie Leota
While we were at the wedding, Terry's parents looked after the kids. They took them on an adventure of travelling to Saskatoon via the Clarkboro Ferry. Jaret thought it was kind of funny after having been on a much larger ferry to Victoria. He couldn't believe that just six cars could fit on it. It was a piece of Saskatchewan they had never seen. They then enjoyed time at Kinsmen Park before heading back to Warman for pizza supper. They had fun!
We enjoyed brunch at The Berry Barn Sunday morning before driving back home.
The kids loved playing on the beach.
They even thought the sand was as nice as Maui.
Although, even though it was hot they didn't think it quite compared to Maui.
Barbara Bush once said, "I think togetherness is a very important ingredient to family life." I would agree and think that time with family is time well spent. With our family living a province over, we don't always get to spend as much time with them as we would like, so time together is cherished.
