I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Back to the Manger
This evening was our school Christmas Concert. A huge thank you to the ladies who put tireless hours into this program again this year. It is amazing
seeing all these students up on stage singing praises to God. This
year's time traveling production "Back to the Manger" presented this creative
Christmas story telling of the true meaning of the season. The
story is of a boy and his friends who discover a time machine and
travel through time to various decades of an annual Christmas Caroling
Outreach. Through the adventure they learn how helping others can change
lives. The time machine travels through the decades from the 40's to
the 90's but also takes the group back in time to the day of Christ's
birth. It is here that they experience first hand what it means to
worship the King as they kneel before Him. The music from the production
used music from each era but with lyrics from Christmas carols. It was
so well done and was truly a celebration of Christmas. Kirra did a
great job of singing her heart out and matching it with the actions to
each song. And Jaret was most helpful with ushering tonight. I truly
enjoy these moments and know that they will be over in such a short time
as Kirra only has two more years of Christmas Concerts at school. So I
will enjoy the moments while I can.
