I once heard that those who keep a gratitude list...
-feel less stress and depression
-report higher levels of determination
-are more apt to achieve personal goals they set for themselves
-build strong relationships with others
-feel a strong sense of happiness
And who doesn't want to experience more happiness and exhibit all of this in their life? If you do not keep a gratitude list, I challenge you to do so. Even if you are just writing one thing you are grateful for each day. I can pretty much guarantee that it will help you to feel more blessed in the life that you live. In fact, after you read this, why not post something you are grateful in the comment section of my blog. I would love to hear about what blesses you each day and what fills your heart.
Today was a day like any other. It was busy with work and kids. There was nothing that happened today that made today exceptional. I didn't get any major items checked off my to do list. In fact, that list is long and I feel like I am just chipping away slowly at so many things on the go. I spent time with colleagues today that I appreciate and enjoy working with. And I don't feel like I was a perfect mom today. I didn't spend as much time with my kids as I would have liked between work and dance for Kirra, but the time I did spend cuddled up watching some baseball, reading with them, and tucking them at night was some nice quality time - where I put work aside and focused on time with them. Today was a regular day but another day that God blessed me with. A day where I was able to connect with people and hope that even in the smallest way it left a positive impact on them, showing them God's love and light. As I aim to walk in His will each day, feeling grateful and blessed and ask that He guide and direct my path.
Blessed & Grateful...
Flowers from a friend - such a nice surprise!
Kirra in her new glasses - so studious, don't you think?
Relaxing in front of a cozy fireplace.
Reading with Jaret before bedtime.
I love listening to Jaret and Kirra memorize their scripture verses from school.
They are learning about their identity in Christ and that they are children of God.
What fills your heart?
