I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Quick Visit to SK
Last weekend the kids and I took a quick trip to Regina. We left Friday after school and drove through the typical winter road conditions of snow and more snow. It wasn't an easy drive and I was so grateful when we finally arrived as I was exhausted and not feeling well. It made for a long trip with my throat being so sore that I couldn't even swallow, let alone sing to the songs on the radio as I drove. Mom helped me get the kids to bed, well sort of - after a pillow fight. I followed them to bed shortly after and was thankful to be able to sleep in the next morning. I was feeling lousy all weekend with a bit of a reprieve on Monday morning, but then the drive back did me in again. My body always seems to know when a holiday is approaching and thinks it is the perfect time to be sick. Despite not feeling great all weekend, it was nice to visit with everyone. Together we all played lots of games and watched some movies while snuggled on the couch. Dad even sat and watched a portion of "The Sound of Music" with us. It was disappointing not being able to sing along, so I have it on as I write this post so I can sing my heart out. It was a quick visit but good to see everyone.
