This is year we celebrate fifteen years of marriage. We enjoyed an evening at the Bear's Den and had a wonderful meal with live music and complimentary champagne. Our waitress didn't think it was right that Terry was clinking my wine glass with his pint of beer. Fifteen years are behind us - full of their ups and downs and we have many more to come. Although, Terry said we would celebrate forty-five more but that would take us beyond the years that I think we will have left. Happy Anniversary, Terry!
Tonight I had another date. This date was with someone a little younger than Terry. I was fortunate to have a Mother-Son Date Night. Jaret was so excited to go to see the drama production at our school and made it very clear that it couldn't be the matinee performance but needed to be like a real date - like at night time. He kept talking about our date night all week. The night finally arrived and Jaret and I went to see Willa Wonkie and the College Tour as put on by our secondary students. They did a fantastic job of the production and Jaret and I really enjoyed it. On the way, Jaret and I were talking about dating and what is important in a date. As we got out of the truck and walked into the school, he held the door open for me. I guess he was listening to my advice and decided to put into practice what we had just been talking about. Such a gentleman! I look forward to many more dates with Jaret over the years, before he starts really dating - like when he is 29. I look forward to helping him learn the importance of dating and how to honour the one he dates. I love being a Mom! I love these moments! I am so blessed!

Like when he is 29! Ha! I feel the same. You are amazing. (sidenote: your hair is fantastic.)
Thanks, Erin. Actually growing my hair out but getting so many compliments of it at the length and style it is, may have to keep it that way for a bit.
I am sure my son will want to date long before 29. And I guess I will let him, as long as it is a girl hand picked by mom. LOL! ;)
