Celista, Shushwaps

Ahhh...I love wonderful holidays but find it difficult coming back from those holidays. I was tempted to name this post Celista 2014 to insinuate that this is the first of many annual holidays back to Celista Point - and it just might be as we enjoyed it that much. It was relaxing.  We had some great weather. And even when the clouds hung low over the mountains, it was still warm and the bit of rain was light and also warm. There were no bugs whatsoever, which after Waskesiu last year is a huge bonus, and the scenery was awesome. We loved waking every morning to the view and sitting out on the deck each night enjoying the great company.  One evening we even enjoyed a meteorite shower. The lake was clean, clear, and warm. And the lake was right out from the house we stayed in. Our accommodations were very comfortable - it was a great house that fit our family and Mark and Shea's family.  The kid's enjoyed all the time they spent together and had fun running and jumping off the dock every day and swimming in the water. Renting the sea doos was so much fun. So much fun that Mark and Terry are already making plans for buying one of their very own. Terry says to me, "But really, Jenn, it would be for the kids.  They really loved it and they are the ones who want one!"  At which point both kids chime in about how much they want one.

Jaret's Highlights:
-Sea Dooing with Dad, especially when he let me drive it and we went way faster than Mom wanted us to
-Jumping off the dock into the waves with my BFF and pushing each other into the lake
-Camp out with McKinley every night and staying up late
-Catching minnows
-Water fight on the last night with everyone was so FUN

Kirra's Highlights:
-Sea Dooing with Daddy, I can't believe he even let me drive
-Tubing behind the Sea Doo was epic
-Playing in the lake every day and even at night
-Our awesome cabin
-Mini-golf, especially when Ev got a hole in one

Terry's Highlights:
-Sea Dooing takes the number one spot
-Super moon over the lake at night

Jenn's Highlights:
-Celista Estate Winery tour and tasting
-Reading on the beach while watching my little fish enjoy the lake water and hearing their laughter as they jumped off the dock into the waves
-Morning Tea on the deck with breakfast, lunch on the deck, supper on the deck, and wine on the deck (really just enjoyed the deck and looking out to the lake and mountains under the expanse of sky)

Other mentionables include:
-Fish and Chips at Bay Side Pub, Blind Bay
-Pizza from Yummies
-Mini Golfing at Creekside Family Fun Centre
-Celista Farmer's Market
