She had a great birthday. Kirra celebrated her birthday at pre-school with birthday songs and cupcakes. She couldn't have been happier. That afternoon we crafted together as she painted a little jewelry box that Uncle Kim and Auntie Jackie got her for her birthday. After picking Jaret up from school, the kids had swimming lessons and then we met Terry's parents for a birthday supper at Montana's. Kirra chose Montana's for supper because she likes colouring on the table and eating the small ice cream cones, which they no longer have. Since she is five she felt she would be brave enough to wear the bull horns hat. And so she did. It was huge on her and must have been so heavy but it was so cute. Can't believe how quickly our little girl is growing up. I love each stage and part of me wants her to grow up but part of me wants to keep her this age forever.
We love you, Sweetheart! You bring so much JOY into our lives. We love your great big smile and your dramatic personality. You are so kind, caring, and compassionate to others. You are so friendly and make friends easily. You are imaginative and creative. You love music and can often be found dancing around the house or singing a song you know or one you make up on your own. You have a heart for God and love reading Bible stories and doing devotions. You pray - usually for a baby sister and puppy dog - but often also pray for friends. You are wonderful and beautiful - inside and out. Happy 5th Birthday, Kirra! We look forward to celebrating with your friends on the weekend.
Jaret was nervous watching his sister open his gift because he just wanted her to like it so much. And I love Kirra's expression. She loves it! A Frozen wand that has a snow globe on top with Elsa in it and when you push the button it plays a few lines of the Frozen song, "Let It Go."
