Jaret was in a Level 1 class and Kirra in Sea Otter. They looked forward to lessons each week and while Jaret was in lessons, Kirra made a little friend who's sister was also in lessons. Kirra would walk around the pool with Madeline and they would play together. Kirra always looked forward to seeing this little girl.
Monday they had their last class and unfortunately, Kirra did not pass her class. She needs to work on her front glide which surprised me since I saw her do it in the last couple of classes. But perhaps the instructor thought she wasn't comfortable enough with her face in the water while doing it to pass her. I wasn't able to speak to the instructor as she left right after class. Hoping to follow-up with her to see if she has to take the whole class again for this one item to be checked off.
Jaret loved his last class because they got to go on the diving board, including the high diving board. Jaret saw some children on the high diving board before and said, "No fair! How come they get to go on the high diving board? I want to do that." And do it he did. He was so brave. So courageous. He didn't even seem phased by how high it was or how deep the water below. I was quite impressed. He passed Level 1 and can't wait to start Level 2.

The kids were also enrolled in gymnastics for the fall session. They loved gymnastics and are looking forward to the winter session beginning after Christmas. Not sure registering them in gymnastics was the best idea. A good idea for allowing them to burn off energy and to become more aware of their body and how it moves. However, this was the problem as they always wanted to be climbing, jumping, and doing somersaults. When Jaret was in his lesson, Kirra once again made a little friend. Daxton is 10 months old and Kirra liked "taking care" of him and playing with him. While Kirra played with Dax, I would visit with his mom, Sandra. I looked forward to gymnastics each week as well for this visiting time. Kirra's lessons were earlier in the afternoon and during her lessons I would often read a book and watch Kirra do her gymnastics. Mom was able to come to the kids last lessons and the kids were thrilled and kept waving at her during her lesson.
