Another Year...

Another year has come and gone and another birthday.  I don't mind birthdays except that it means you turn just one year older.  But it also means that I have been blessed with another year.  And even though this year has had it's ups and downs, I do feel so grateful for the many blessings, including good health and love overflowing in my life.

My day began with volunteering in Kirra's pre-school class where the little ones sang Happy Birthday to me.  How adorable is that?  Great morning with each of them.  Kirra and I then met Terry for lunch at Alexander's before Kirra and I ran a few errands.  Once Terry got home from work, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, complete with a hydrangea.  Love!  We had supper at Rock Creek, complete with dessert.  Over supper, I received two beautiful cards and was very spoiled.  It wasn't enough that I didn't have to cook all day or got beautiful flowers but I also got an infinity scarf from the kids and a certificate from Terry for a painting.  Can't wait to pick out my new piece of art.  Of course, I already have something in mind.  Then it was home to tuck the kids.  While I was tucking Kirra I fell asleep which I love doing; it is so cuddly in her bed snuggling her.  But, was woken up from a phone call from Dad and then later from Mom who hadn't been home earlier.  I also talked to my Grandma Martha and then had so many well wishes through e-mail and Facebook that I was absolutely overwhelmed.  In fact, my mom even put up some baby pics of me.  Which I tell Terry now prove what a happy and easy baby I was.  I will have to get copies of the pictures to post - adorable.  I feel so blessed and so loved.

And the birthday fun continued tonight and still into tomorrow.  Why not a whole week of celebrating?  This evening I went with my girlfriends - Andrea, Sandra, and Kelli - to The Keg.  While there we decided that even though I am not at the big 4-0, and neither are two of the others, that we should plan a memorable celebration trip together.  So, I think we will have to begin the planning...  And tomorrow night I am looking forward to getting together with my girlfriend Ruth.  So awesome!  Love these wonderful moments shared with such amazing women who are such an influence in my life.  Thanks Girls!  I love you all!

all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord's perfections and meditating in His Temple."  ~Psalm 27:4, NLT
