Moving...

So after going back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth...the decision has finally been made to make the move back to Saskatoon.  Terry has accepted a job at the U of S as CFO for Global Institute for Food Security.  It is a really great position that will give him some good experience.  The decision was a difficult one as Calgary has really become home over the last eight years and is the only home that our children have known.  We leave many good memories of Calgary behind with this move and many wonderful friends.  But, Saskatoon will once again be home and we look forward to new beginnings as we move.
Many different aspects of the move fell into place, even though they didn't seem like they would at first.  Spending a weekend looking for a house awhile back was discouraging as housing prices are really high in Saskatoon right now.  The first day of house hunting left us wondering if we would find a place.  The second day saw us increasing our budget in the search to find a house with the space we wanted and in an area we were happy with.  Many of you who know us, know just how picky we both are so it was no easy task pleasing us both.  However, the first home we saw on the second day was one we both really liked and that we could see as home.  The price was high but we made an offer, that was considerably below asking.  That was countered and after offering just a bit more, our offer was accepted.
Upon first touring Saskatoon Christian School, we found out that there was no spot for Jaret in Grade 2.  We were again discouraged as we really wanted Jaret to attend there.  Years ago I taught there and couldn't imagine Jaret going anywhere else.  Again though, things fell into place and a spot became available for Jaret.
So, in less than a few short weeks, we will be leaving Calgary and moving into our new home in Saskatoon.  We will really miss all of our wonderful friends here but hope to keep in touch.
Trusting God in these new beginnings and trusting Him as He guides us in this new chapter for our family.
