Coach Pitch

Jaret has been enjoying Coach Pitch but his season has come to an end.  So proud of my little guy and so proud of his Dad who coached again this year.  The season was short due to some poor weather conditions of rain when we did have games scheduled.  But the time that the team was able to play was lots of fun and Jaret really enjoyed it.  He has become better with throwing and his accuracy of throwing and his batting is coming along.  His friend Marcus who has been on his team the last couple of years was on his team again this year.  He also made new friends, as they do when they are part of a team.  One boy, Kaio, began the season with them but then missed most of the games due to being hospitalized for chemo treatments as he was diagnosed with leukemia.  Such a sad thing for all the kids.  But, Kaio made it out to the last game of the season.  He is a fighter and has spirit.  He even hit a home run!  Boy did the kids cheer for him as they all yelled and ran to give high fives as the boys ran the bases toward home.  That is what baseball is all about; it brought tears to my eyes!  I am so grateful for Terry giving his time, despite some issues with other parents during the year, to coach Jaret's ball team.  Building relationship and memories for years to come.
