I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Kirra's Zoo Field Trip
Kirra had her first field trip with her pre-school class where she got to travel on a bus. She was so excited! She kept counting down the days to her field trip and kept singing, "The wheels on the bus go round and round..." She was excited about the bus ride, excited that Mommy was coming on the field trip, excited about eating lunch at the zoo, and excited about seeing the penguins, elephants, and giraffes. So all around, she was excited. Everyone she saw that day, she told them that she was going on a field trip to the zoo. I love the enthusiasm she shows about life! We were a little concerned about what the weather would be like as rain was forecast, but it turned out to be a nice day and the rain held off until we got on the bus. Once on the bus, Kirra and I started singing, "We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you. You can come too, too, too. We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo." And then we continued on with many verses about all the animals at the zoo. Kirra loved singing this song and didn't want to stop. We sung it a number of times throughout our time at the zoo. Kirra's highlight was the penguins and the elephants. We even talked to a zoo keeper by the elephants regarding the possibility of the elephants being moved to another zoo. He really hopes this doesn't happen. He was such a positive man and as some other workers walked by they asked him how he was and his response was, "Living the dream, living the dream." What a way to be able to approach life. Much can be taken from his outlook. Anyway, kept this short and sweet but wanted to share a few pictures.
