Kirra celebrated her birthday with a TinkerBell themed party on Saturday. She had so much fun! Terry decided to surprise her by renting a bouncer for the day. Kirra and Jaret were excited and we definitely got our moneys worth as they bounced on it all afternoon. It was a little windy but that didn't stop the kids. And the sun eventually did come out which made it more enjoyable to see blue sky and sunshine. Also at Kirra's birthday, we played a version of 'Pin the Tail' TinkerBell style. The girls also made fairy, flower headbands. And of course there was food including Kirra's TinkerBell cake. Kirra was glad that a few of her friends from school could come but disappointed that her friends from the day home couldn't make it. My parents or Terry's parents couldn't make it but have plans to visit in the next month. Grandma Sheila came to celebrate Kirra's birthday so she was thrilled about that. So thankful that we can make celebrations like this memorable for our kids.
On Sunday night as I was tucking Kirra, I couldn't get over the fact that this was her last night of being three. But, true to Kirra style, she threw a little tantrum. I can only hope that the majority of those moments will be behind us as we look forward to the year ahead. Time is so fleeting. We have seen Kirra take her first steps and hear her first words. And now she is off and running so that we can barely keep up (usually chasing her brother) and she chatters non-stop. As I look at her I am amazed at how big she is getting but hope she doesn't grow up too fast. I love that she loves all things girl from playing dolls, to dressing up like a princess, and enjoys dressing in pink or purple (sometimes from head to toe). I enjoy all the cuddles she will give me as I know this time goes by in a heartbeat. I am so proud of the little girl she is becoming and feel blessed to be her mom! I love you soooo much, Kirra! Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!
