Weekend Around the House

Life has been hectic these days. Since starting a new role as Resource Coordinator at the school this fall, I have been working full time, rather than the half time I was hired for. I am nearing the end of my busy season as some Alberta Education deadlines draw near. At least I hope that things will be settling soon as it is just more busy than I would like to be. And of course life is just busy with kids. Good busy but busy nonetheless. And to top it all off, the kids haven't been 100% healthwise. Jaret has tonsillitis and an awful cough. He has been on antibiotics for almost a week but his cough is still bad. Kirra has also been coughing a lot and when I took her to the doctor on Friday, she was prescribed a puffer to help with the wheezing. Since she has been using it, it seems to be helping her cough less and sleep better at night. Today however, I started feeling like I am getting sick. Perhaps due to being around sick kids, the stress of my job, work schedule, and lack of sleep right now. I spent the afternoon napping and I am hoping that will help (along with lots of vitamins). Because of how busy things have been, we have tried to stay around the house most of the weekend. That being said though, there has also been lots to do around here. Terry was busy today taking down the trampoline and clearing out the garage a bit to fit his car. I think all the snow this week made him realize he doesn't want to park on the driveway all winter. Friday was also Terry's birthday so we went out for a drink and wings that evening with Sheila and Ian. Terry used to work with Sheila. We really enjoyed some time out at Scotsman's and the company of Sheila and Ian. I snapped a few pics this weekend, will attach some of them. Terry's love for the Seahawks has obviously brainwashed the family, as you will see in a couple of pictures. I am even wearing Seahawks earrings. Jaret asked me today if I have any Rider earrings to which I responded that I didn't. He thinks I should get some. Then he told me another option would be to get Stamps earrings with an x through them to let everyone know that I don't cheer for the Stamps. He is so funny sometimes and cracks me up! Love that kid! And after all the busyness, playtime, Starbucks, and lounging around the house - sleep finally comes. I am off to bed now too. Good Night!
