The Beauty of Fall

We have been blessed with beautiful fall weather. I can't remember enjoying such a beautiful fall in our seven years living in Calgary. I love fall - the colours of the leaves and the crisp cool mornings that often give way to warmer, sun-filled afternoons. We have enjoyed the weather by getting outdoors as much as possible. This past weekend, we enjoyed time at the park. And it was so beautiful that it was difficult for us to drag ourselves away to go home and prepare supper. Terry and I both got outdoors to enjoy a run on Sunday morning - taking turns so that we could get in a good run and avoid one of us having to push Kirra in the stroller up the hills and the other of us having to give Jaret a push on his bike up the hills. We enjoy runs like that but sometimes it is nice to just get out and focus on running, which we both did on our own Sunday morning. In fact, on Sunday morning, once I got going, I couldn't stop. I felt like I could just go on forever, which of course I could not. However, I did run for 1:02:19 and completed a 10 K run. It felt wonderful! We also enjoyed a family walk at Confederation Park this weekend and while we were there snapped some family photos. The colours were gorgeous and I love capturing pictures of the kids at different times so I have them to look back on and reminisce. I am such a sentimentalist - always have been and always will be. Anyway, wanted to share some of the fall photos with you. It was fun taking them, fun having a leaf fight, and fun trying to catch the leaves as they were falling from the trees. Hope you have been able to get out and enjoy fall! *Written on September 30, published October 9
