I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Jaret's First Lost Tooth
Jaret's bottom front tooth has been wiggly since the summer. In the last few days it had gotten especially wiggly to the point that it was bothering him when he tried to eat. He wanted me to try to pull it earlier in the week and I tried but it just wasn't ready. Tonight, he asked if I would try and it still wasn't coming. He gave me permission to try one last time as he really wanted it out. I gave it one last pull and the tooth came free but also evoked a few tears from Jaret. I think the fact that it was finally out made him feel a little uncertain. But then he eventually laughed as he continued to stick his tongue through the empty space. He was excited to tuck the tooth safely into his tooth pillow and place it under his own pillow. We chatted a bit before bed about the tooth fairy and Jaret told me that he believes the tooth fairy has a castle somewhere. In that castle, he thinks she has all these little drawers, one for each child, where she keeps all their teeth and labels the dates when they loose each tooth. He is looking forward to waking up tomorrow and wo see how much money the tooth fairy has left. But he also told me he is going to try to keep one eye open all night so that he can meet the tooth fairy. However, as I just checked on him, he is fast asleep with both eyes closed. Time for the tooth fairy to visit...
