Jaret had his Kindergarten Graduation tonight. He was so excited about his graduation. As the ceremony was over and he was walking off the stage, he turned to Mrs. Pomeroy and told her how much fun he had tonight and how this was the best day of his life. Mrs. Pomeroy was beaming and she gave him a little hug and told him how special he was.
The ceremony was so well done. The kids sang a few songs and did a little line dance. The evening was centered around a western theme, "Wanted By God," in honour of the 100th year of Stampede. The students each had fun up on stage performing. Then after the songs, they each had their turn at standing in the arch in their cap and gown. They each received their graduation certificate and a special cd and photo album of memories from the year. They had also made their own teddy bears that were dressed in graduation gowns. So adorable.
As a mom, I was so proud to see Jaret on stage in his cap and gown, with his Bible Memory Medal around his neck. Jaret worked diligently on reciting his Bible Verses throughout the year which helped him earn his medal. Often he memorized the verse in less than a month and would recite the verse before the due date. He would be so proud seeing his sticker go up on the chart after reciting his verse. I am so pleased that Jaret enjoys memorizing verses, may they live forever in his heart.
I realize that it is only Kindergarten Grad but it was a special night to celebrate a great year. And I have a feeling that the next 12 years will go by all too quickly.
Congratulations Jaret! I pray that the lessons you have learned in Kindergarten are lessons you will take with you throughout your life.
We plan on going out for supper tomorrow night to celebrate. Jaret has chosen to go to Montana's for this special supper.
