"Oh really, Jaret? You think you can beat one of the fastest skaters in the world."
"Well, I have gotten really good and can skate fast, fast now so maybe."
I respond with, "Perhaps you could challenge one of your friends in your class to a race. Maybe you should just start there."
"Yeah, but I don't know because Theo is pretty fast, you know Mom."
So I guess Theo is fast (being only 5) and Jaret doesn't think he could win a race to him but that he could to Catriona? LOL!
We enjoyed going each week and Jaret is already asking when the next skating lessons start. I guess we will have to look into that. Kirra even enjoyed going. Sometimes she would stand on the boards and watch "Bruder" and other times she just wanted to watch Dora on the ipad. My heart was so full when I would watch her watching Jaret and hearing her cheer him on, "I see you Bruder. Skate fast, super fast."
After his last lesson we celebrated with Tim Horton's for supper. Jaret is all about celebrations whenever possible. He was also pretty tired after lessons and all that skating and falling so he and Kirra changed into pj's even before supper. It was nice to then get them to bed early. Special memories of just ordinary moments...
