Jaret loves Lego. I remember when we bought him his first few lego sets. It was Terry and me who put it together while he sat and watched. But now, he wants help with the directions and can build much of it on his own. It is wonderful to see this independence in him and the sense of accomplishment he has once he has created something. We had collected many of the City Lego sets but now he is getting into the Star Wars Lego. It is amazing how much lego he owns. But, we enjoy the time we get to spend with him over building lego. And it also helps with the boredom problem. I recently brought his lego up to the living room from the basement. It keeps him occupied while Kirra plays with her toys and I work or get supper on.
For his birthday, Jaret got a marble works toy from my parents. This is not just a simple marble works but is a marble works deluxe that has taken Terry and Jaret days and days to put together, in fact it is still not all put together. But, Jaret is already having marble races with it and likes seeing the new stage once it is added and how it changes the race. Be prepared for when you come and visit because Jaret is sure to show you his recent toy and challenge you to a race, or two, or ten...
(will post a picture of the complete marble set once it is done)
