Lately

We are almost through the month of September and what a busy month it has been. I love September - back to school, start of a new year, the routine, and even how busy it gets. I usually handle being busy well. When I am busy, my time management seems just that much better. It is interesting how some people handle September. I have noticed that not everyone handles the busyness so well and there are some that get quite stressed over all that needs to be accomplished in the month. But, one thing at a time, and it all gets done. It is also interesting watching how hectic people get. Although busy, it is good to just make time and take time for those things that matter and prioritize. Life, I think, can then be enjoyed just that much more.
Jaret is really enjoying Kindergarten. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Pomeroy. Each morning he is so excited to be one of the first ones into class to start the day. And at the end of the day when I pick him up, he enjoys talking about who was the special person, who's mom or dad was in the classroom helping, and some of the things they did at school. I am thankful that he enjoys school so much. It will be a positive year for him.
Kirra has been doing well and has a new friend at the dayhome. It always makes the days pass by quicker when she has more to keep her occupied. I was a little concerned how she would do on the days when she was at the dayhome without Jaret but she is just fine. She is fine on Monday and Wednesday mornings saying, "Good-bye Sudder. I lub you!" She loves going to school at the end of the day to pick Jaret up, especially when it means that she can see, "My Brett."
Terry continues to keep busy with work. I don't think there is every a down time for him. He enjoys it though and has taken on some extra responsibility with working with Fund Development as well. He says he doesn't like being so busy but I know that he does. He likes having lots on the go. The only problem is when meetings get in the way of him getting his regular work done, which he then brings home or goes to work extra early.
Teaching is going well. Another new class and I am enjoying getting to know each one of them and their giftings. I feel so blessed to be teaching Grade 5 half-time. Not sure how I scored my schedule of working Monday-Thursday morning but I am loving it! Great to be able to spend Fridays at home with the kiddos.

Including a few pictures:
-Lexi, Erika, and Brett with the kids - taken one night after church when the Schulz's came over for snacks and a visit
-Ice Cream Stop at Mackay's Ice Cream in Cochrane - best ice cream ever!
-Swimming Lessons - Jaret is doing so well at swimming with his face in the water and Kirra with blowing bubbles.
-Visit with Terry's parents - enjoyed their visit and even went out for supper to celebrate an early birthday for Jaret. His favourite part of their visit was the lego castle as a special trade from Grandpa. Have yet to get a picture of his new castle.
-Jaret and Alvin sitting in the Alvin Chair - prizes he won from the Entertainment Book sales. Thank you everyone who helped support this fundraiser for our school and who helped Jaret reach his goal.
