Mother's Day Weekend

The kids and I spent the weekend in Regina visiting my family. We arrived on Thursday night as I had a Trade Show in Weyburn on Friday evening. The Trade Show was successful and fun! It was for CIBC Run for the Cure - Pirates of the CUREibean. My goal for my trip to Weyburn was to sign a stylist (or more) through the Trade Show and a Meet Stella & Dot event on Saturday morning. I had a number of women interested in signing after seeing the jewelry at the show. The women were swarming around the table and so it was fun to introduce so many to Stella & Dot. I had my first stylist signed before even doing the Meet Stella & Dot event on Saturday morning. And, I have some follow up to do with a few others interested. I am excited about growing my business.
My time in Weyburn also allowed a visit with my Grandma on Friday night over a quick supper at Club Cafe (they make the best Chinese food)! And a visit with her over lunch on Saturday. I also got to see some people I went to school with at the Trade Show and had a really nice visit with my friend, Shelley from way back. It was nice to reconnect. My trip in Weyburn was very enjoyable and left me feeling a little nostalgic. It was a good place to grow up - if you can consider that I am grown up now - lol! After my quick trip to Weyburn, I returned to Regina. Mom had taken the kids to a bbq where they enjoyed food, face painting, bouncers, clowns, and lots of fun! Dad was unfortunately in Toronto again for the weekend so we missed seeing him. The rest of the family enjoyed supper at Earl's on Saturday night where we celebrated Mother's Day. I am so blessed by my mom and all she has done and continues to do for me. Even though I am grown up with a family of my own, I will always need my mom. Thanks for being such a support and encouragement, Mom! I love you! Thank you for being the mom that you are and for the influence you have had on my life.
I love being a mom to Jaret and Kirra. I woke up this morning to lots of hugs and cuddles from them both. We then had a long drive back to Calgary where Jaret continued to talk about how excited he was to give me the gift he made at Junior Kindergarten. He was so proud and I accepted it with a smile, tears in my eyes, and lots of hugs and kisses. He made me a Handprint Towel so that I will always remember his little hands. Being a mom melts my heart! I am truly blessed! Happy Mother's Day!
