Sunday, Jaret and I went shopping for items for our shoeboxes and then spent time in the afternoon putting them together. There was a meltdown however, as Jaret wanted to keep one of the items we had purchased for the shoebox. It took awhile for him to calm down and understand that these gifts are going to children who are far less fortunate than he. It is so important that we teach him even now about appreciating all he has and giving to others.
It was Halloween on Sunday and Jaret was excited to dress up and go trick-or-treating. We got both he and Kirra dressed up and went out for a bit trick-or-treating before we attended the carnival at the church. He got a lot of treats from trick-or-treating and then that was topped off by getting more at the church. He loves the carnival at church and they do a wonderful job. We invited Mark, Shea, McKinley, and Everett (aka - Thing 1 and Thing 2) to join Jaret and I. Jaret and McKinley had a fabulous time from playing the games (and getting treats) to bouncing on the many bouncers that the church had set up. It was hard to keep the boys from squealing from their excitement! Happy Halloween!
PS - Forgot my camera for the carnival and Shea's had run out of battery so we didn't even get a picture of the boys. Next year!
