Trip to Saskatchewan

The kids and I were in Regina last week visiting my family. It was so nice to be there and spend time with my family. It was especially good for me to see my Mom after she had been in the hospital for so long and to help with a few things around the house. I am glad that Mom is doing well but the recovery is slow. She knows that she needs to take it easy and not over do it, just hope she remembers that. Jaret enjoyed playing with his cousins. His only wish would have been that they didn't have school all day long. Justine recently turned 10 and is at the stage where she doesn't play with Jaret and Ayden as much. She would rather spend her time on the computer making power points. Jaret and Ayden enjoyed playing with the train set in the basement. They also played a made up game of hide and seek tag, until Jaret got a finger caught in a door and I put a stop to the game. Kirra enjoyed having more people around to give her attention and walk her around the house. She can sit and play for quite a while but would rather be walking around. She was getting a little more brave of standing at the ottoman on her own and taking her hands off to see if she could stand on her own. I am sure it won't be long now.
The kids and I went to Justine and Ayden's school one evening for AR Family Reading Night. Jaret liked being at their school and listening to them read. Lisa had Friday off so we went out for lunch together and then I hung out at her place for the afternoon while Mom rested at home in a quiet house with out the kids. Later that afternoon, Jaret got his first professional hair cut (not that I'm not professional - lol). That evening the whole family enjoyed supper at Moxie's.
Saturday I left for a night in Saskatoon. I was excited to spend the night at Kelli's. She invited Andrea and Sandra over for the evening for a Girl's Night. It was great to see them but I was a little distracted by Kirra who was extremely fussy. Kirra didn't want to miss the Girl's Night and was up until midnight and slept little that night. The drive home went fine though with both of the kids traveling well. Once home, I noticed that Kirra's top, front tooth was cutting through. So all the fussiness the night before made sense.
It was great to be home and although we were there for a week, it didn't seem long enough. It is always hard leaving as I miss my family and never know exactly how long until the next visit. But I must say, I didn't mind leaving the cold weather of -30 behind for the chinook temperatures of -2.
I unfortunately didn't take many pictures while away so only have a few to post.
