Photo Shoot

One afternoon, Kirra and I had a mini photo shoot in our living room. I set up the tripod to take some pics of her and I. The purpose was to capture the intimate moments of breastfeeding - not to worry, I am not about to post any pictures that are revealing. I am beginning the process of weaning her and am having a hard time letting go. With Jaret, breastfeeding was a struggle right from the beginning so there was no question regarding weaning him. However, breastfeeding with Kirra has gone so well and has been such a beautiful and bonding experience. Letting go of that is a transition that I have been struggling with. I know that she is ready though. She has taken to solids well and gets easily distracted when breastfeeding. She likes taking the bottle as she can sit up more and see what is happening around her - a bit of a social butterfly already.
I also wanted to get some typical baby photos of Kirra before she isn't such a baby anymore. I wanted to capture the little hands and feet and take some photos when it is still acceptable to not be clothed. They turned out well for an amateur photographer.
