I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Visit From Family
My Mom, Sister, Justine, and Ayden came out to visit last week. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate at first as it was cool and rainy. Although, looking on the bright side, some back to school shopping did get done as a result. They arrived on Tuesday evening, leaving blue skies and hot weather behind, driving all the way here in rain. Wednesday and Thursday we spent shopping and enjoyed lunch out - one day at Xan Mongolian Grill and the next at Milestone's. Thursday evening we went swimming at Cardel Place. Friday morning we experienced a not so good photo shoot with the kids at Superstore. The kids were fine but the woman doing the photo shoot was very inexperienced and the pictures didn't turn out so great. It was a most frustrating experience to say the least. The rest of the day was spent at the zoo and the kids enjoyed seeing all the animals. We were thankful that the sun came out that day and it was the perfect temperature to enjoy our afternoon. Saturday the weather was even better - sunny and +25 - great for Calaway Park. We spent the day there and had a blast on all the rides. The favourites were the roller coaster for Terry, Lisa, Justine, and Ayden and the log ride for Jaret. Mom and I have never been good on rides so we enjoyed just sitting and visiting while looking after Kirra. It was so great to have the company and sad to see them leave on Sunday.
