Jaret has had a great summer playing in his backyard and having playdates with some friends. Our neighbour, Natalie and her little girl, Sophie have been over often. Jaret loves playing with Sophie and they get along really well. They spend lots of time chasing each other as they race up the stairs and then down the slide, splashing into the pool. Then time to play a little ball or stop for a snack. The odd time we see some tears if they are having a hard time sharing a toy but for the most part it is smiles and laughter. Most days when Jaret wakes up in the morning he asks, "What are we going to do today? And then what? And after that? Maybe we can invite Sophie over to play." Friends for sure.
Jaret has only had a few dates with McKinley this summer as vacations and family visiting hasn't allowed for it. They are great friends. Jaret always refers to McKinley as his "best bud." It is so cute. McKinley was over the other day for a playdate. They gave each other big hugs when saying good-bye because it will be awhile before another playdate as we are leaving on holidays tomorrow.
Childhood Friendship - special and treasured for years...Thank you God for these special friends.
