First Time Skating

It has been another quiet weekend as we try to stay warm in these figid temperatures. However, weather reports tell us it is to warm up this week. We went to IKEA yesterday to buy some shelving for the basement. We need to get the area a little more organized for Jaret. We will need to make another trip back though as the shelving we wanted was not in stock - due to the snow and cold out east making it difficult for the trucks to make their way out west. It will be nice when it is better organized and Jaret has more room to play. It will also encourage both Terry and I to get on the treadmill a little more (so we hope) as Jaret likes when we are down there with him. And so far so good, as I have been on the treadmill a few times since being home from holidays. Let's see how long it lasts - lol!
I have been feeling really good but am definately growing bigger all the time. I am now 22.5 weeks pregnant. BabyCenter says that the baby is 11 inches long now and weighs just over a pound. I would have thought with the weight gain I have experienced that the baby would have been more to blame but I guess I will just have to blame it on all the holiday eating. Actually, it hasn't been that bad. I have gained about 6-7 pounds so far so I am doing pretty good. As you can see in the pictures though, one month can make a big difference. Compared to last months picture, I am quite a bit bigger.
Today was an exciting day as Jaret went skating for the first time. Thanks Lisa and Trevor for the skates - they work great! Jaret thought skating was so much fun and can't wait until he gets to go again. Terry was pretty exhausted by the time all was said and done. It's a lot of work trying to keep a three year old standing, let alone trying to teach him how to move his legs to skate. On our way home we were talking about skating and asking Jaret if he is going to learn to be as good as Iginla. He didn't think he would be as good as him. However, he thought he could one day be as fast as Catriona Le May Doan. Pretty high expectations but I guess anything is possible. Just had to share some pictures of Jaret skating.
