Weekend in Saskatchewan

We had a great weekend in Saskatchewan. On Friday Jaret played with his cousins, Justine and Ayden. We then went out for a late lunch at Bocado's - a new place on Vic East. From there we went and bought Jaret a Rider jersey at the Rider Store - it is so cute. He will definitely be set to cheer the Riders on now. Then we finally made it over to Lisa's place to spend the rest of the day and evening. Jaret loved swimming in the pool - which was exhausting for Terry and I who always had to be in the water with him. His favourite part of the pool was jumping off the top of the ladder into the water. He is getting more and more comfortable in water and kept saying, "Let go. I want to swim." But he's not quite there yet. We had a bbq and then when it got a little cool we started a fire and sat around it for a bit. The thing we forgot to do though until we were leaving - roast marshmallows.
Saturday I got up a little early with Terry and my dad to go golfing - yes, that's right, golfing. We had a tee time at Emerald Park Golf course. I have only golfed one other time in my life and it was a Texas scramble which I don't know if that even counts as golfing. Let's just say that 9 holes was definately enough and I made Terry promise that if I ever golfed again I would need my own women's left handed clubs and a lesson (or two, or three). I made it through but my self-esteem is pretty low. It might be awhile before I try it again.
Saturday afternoon, we were able to get our teeth cleaned. It was the best cleaning either of us have ever had - thanks Dad! You did such a good job that we might make it a habit to come when the office is normally closed - just kidding.
Saturday evening we had a bbq at my parents with Lisa, Trevor and the kids joining us, as well as Grandma Mary. The salmon was delicious - which is saying a lot since I normally don't eat seafood.
Sunday we were up early so that we could get on the road at a decent time. It was a long drive but Jaret always does so well. And, it is always worth it when we are able to spend such a nice weekend at home with family.
