Sunday we were all pretty tired and slept in. It was another hot day. Terry and his dad got out golfing while Jaret, Grandma and I spent some time at Misty Gardens and then just hung out in the yard until the guys got home. After Jaret and Grandpa awoke from a nap, we all headed out to the Demolition Derby. I'm not sure that Jaret quite knew what was going on but he said that he had fun - after we left. We enjoyed spending the evening eating supper on the deck and finished with a birthday cake, celebrating Grandma's birthday (which is actually on July 1). It was a beautiful evening with no wind and not a single mosquito to bother us while we ate. We let Grandma bath Jaret and put him to bed and we went over to visit Justin and his girlfriend Vanessa for a bit.
Monday we packed up and headed for home. But, again stopped for lunch in Saskatoon and met Ruth and Clive and Tracy and Cassandra. It was a short lunch but good to see them. It was a long drive home and we didn't get in until around 9:30 that evening. Jaret was wide awake though and didn't go to bed until just before midnight. If we weren't leaving for Europe in a few days, I would try to get him back on some routine, but it isn't worth it with the trip that is ahead.
Today was Canada Day but we didn't do much to celebrate. We met Pam and Patrick and their two boys for breakfast as they were on their way through back to Saskatoon. Then we hung out at home for a bit awaiting Kim and Jackie who were on their way through on the motorbike heading back to SK. We ended up going to Earl's with them for an early supper. It was nice to visit with them since we didn't seem to get much visiting in with them at the Family Day.
It has been a little overcast here today but Jaret still enjoyed playing out in the yard and we just got back from a walk. Now we have just a few days to get the house in order and get packed before we leave. We are really looking forward to our trip. This will probably be the last post until we return. Enjoy summer!

Sounds like a good time. And you are a great looking family. It is my wife's desire to, someday, teach in a Christian school. Our church is just starting one this fall. I enjoyed your blog.
