Friday night we spent the evening taking it easy. It had been a long week and we just needed to unwind. We rented a movie and just enjoyed laying on the couch watching it. Jaret took turns cuddling with Terry and I during the movie as he had woken up and just wanted to sleep in our arms. Who were we to argue with that? We enjoy those cuddles and moments too.
With the later evening for Jaret, he slept in past 10 which allowed us the luxury as well. It was so nice to sleep like that. We stayed close to home that day. Jaret and I ate lunch at the picnic table of his new play structure and then he spent most of the afternoon playing outside on it. He has already gotten really good at climbing the climbing wall. That evening Jaret and I had our Saturday Night Dance Party and then he went to bed while Terry and I did some house cleaning. It has to get done some time I guess.
Sunday morning we got up and went to church. We weren't sure if we should go as Jaret has a cough that seems to be getting worse, but when asked, Jaret said he wanted to go to church. He loves going to Extreme Kids. He plays with the kids, sings, prays, gets a snack and always makes a little craft of some sort. He will love pre-school when the time comes. After church we went to Earl's for lunch. Then it was off to Market Mall so that we could buy Terry some shirts for Father's Day - not something that we can do easily without him since he is so particular about his clothes - lol! We found some really nice shirts and a pair of shorts so the trip was a success. Jaret and I had also worked on a photobook for Terry for Father's Day and were disappointed that it didn't arrive in time. It will be here this week, so I guess it will be like Father's Day all over again. We then came home and all of us had a Sunday afternoon nap. We all got the rest we needed this weekend.
Hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend and had a great Father's Day!
